How to Register for Event:
- Login to the Website via Discord
- Create a Character on the Website
- Go to the event page and click "Register" or "Update Registration" which will open a dialog listing all characters you have created along with their specializations
- Each Specialization will be represented by an icon. Simply click on all the icons you wish to register as and then click "Save Selection" button. You can register as multiple characters and multiple specializations all at once. The event organizers will be notified to ensure you are not put on the roster twice.
- Make sure that you have joined the discord server provided by the organizer so that you may be notified about being added to the roster.
- That is it, you are done. If the event organizer adds you to the roster, our discord bot will send you a message on discord to let you know.
- Optional: After creating your characters, you can register via discord instead of the website by simply reacting to the registration post in discord. The bot will send you a DM with a dropdown of all your characters for you to select from and register with.
How to Create an Event:
- Login to the Website via Discord
- Create an Event on the Website
- Wait for registrations to come in!
- If you choose so, you can print the registrations in up to 5 discord channels/servers. The bot will simply duplicate them in every channel. For full list of discord commands, see below.
- Build a roster! To create a roster click on "Update Roster" button on the event page. This will create a dialog with instructions on how to create a roster. You have to click "Save Roster" in this dialog for any changes to become permanent.
- To add a person to the roster:
- Scroll down the page until you reach the roster groups
- Click on the group you wish to Edit. The Active group will be colored red. Remember that you can only put 5 players in a group.
- Next scroll up to the registrations section and click on the number next to player's name that you wish to add to that group. Hovering the number will turn it red to indicate it can be clicked. Furthermore, any users already added to the roster will have their number colored red.
- After adding 5 players to the group, select a new group and repeat the process until you have a full roster.
- After you click Save Roster, each user on the roster will be notified via a discord direct message from the bot to let them know they have been added to the roster.
- Clicking on a character's name will bring up a dialog showing you their discord information, warcraft logs and any links to gear sets that they filled out during character creation. This is here to help you make a better informed decision on who you wish to add to the roster.
Discord Bot Commands
Before you can use the bot commands, make sure to add it to your discord server by clicking this link
The discord bot commands listed below are only available to the event organizers. Most of these commands will require for you to input "Event Id" for them to work. You can get the event id from either the URL of your Event or you can copy it from the event information section on the event page. Event id is just a number representing your event. You will not be able to use commands unless you are the person who created the event. This is the current behavior, however, we will look into expanding it so that you may add event administrators to help you out in the future.
- /printregistration 1 True/False - Print the current registrations in the channel the command was entered in. - /printroster 1 True/False - Print the current roster in the channel the command was entered in.
